In 1988, Liz Forbes graduated with a BA in Psychology, followed by working with at-risk youth. Her licensure in massage therapy, also in 1988, led to a private practice spanning almost a decade, using deep tissue and neuromuscular techniques to work with auto injuries, sports injuries and other musculoskeletal issues. Liz achieved a master's in Public Administration and Urban and Regional Planning in 1998, followed by 10 years of work in the private sector with Fortune 500 organizations. In 2013, Liz graduated with her MA in Occupational Therapy.

Liz has been trained in administering Cognitive Functional Capacity Evaluations, Functional Capacity Evaluations, cognitive assessments, ergonomic assessments, personal care assessments, physical demands analysis and cognitive demands analysis. Further, Liz developed a Vocational Activation program, using a variety of techniques ranging from cognitive behavioural strategies to work hardening, helping to prepare people in their graduated return to work. Liz is a member of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists, the College of Occupational Therapists of Manitoba, and is an active board member of the Manitoba Society of Occupational Therapists. She enjoys spending time with her family here and abroad, and volunteers for a variety of events and organizations as time permits.
