Vocational Rehabilitation Consultant/Addictions Specialist

Arlis has worked in the public sector in the Addictions and Mental Health field for the last 18 years.  He  has been a front-line Addictions worker in the Downtown East Side of Vancouver and in Saskatoon's core neighbour.  Arlis has worked in a variety of Mental Health and Addictions roles including Case Management, Withdrawal Management, as an Addictions Counsellor in Methadone Assisted Recovery and as an Addictions and Mental Health Outreach Worker.  Arlis has received training in Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST).  He is certified to administer the Substance Abuse Subtle Screening Inventory (SASSI-4).  Arlis uses a client-centered and holistic approach in working with clients to help regain a renewed sense of function and purpose for a meaningful life.  Arlis has a four year bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of Saskatchewan.  Arlis keeps an active and adventurous lifestyle with hiking, camping and fishing throughout the year.  He also has a passion for photography and fine arts.
